Couple's romantic getaway
We were treated to a fantastic dinner, the kind that just melts in your mouth, especially this parsnip soup I swear I've never tasted anything like it before! And oh, the breakfast was a dream too, sitting outside with a view of the hills while enjoying freshly made croissants in the morning sun.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but honestly, considering the experience, it felt acceptable.

The 4-poster suite impresses with stunning views and lovely touches like chocolates and anniversary notes. Luxuriating in roll-top baths with quality Elemis toiletries after a delectable meal highlighted the stay.
The restaurant experience fell short. the menu lacked variety and quality for the price point. For example, two scallops with overly generous pork belly felt like a missed opportunity for flavor, not to mention the absence of any cooked breakfast option which left a bit of a letdown. While the ambience once buzzed with life, this time it had an empty feel, diminishing the celebratory atmosphere. The mix-up with my wife's dessert being lukewarm also detracted from the experience.

The room was beautiful with lovely touches like fresh cookies and plush bathrobes, making it feel super cozy. I also enjoyed relaxing on the sun terrace and taking in the garden views, which were totally calming. The only thing was that the menu had run out of some items, but overall, it was such a nice getaway! 😊

This place was just an optimal selection for a short break in Usk with all in all brilliant value for money. The breakfast, especially the full English, was mostly good, with beautifully runny eggs. Just be careful on the narrow roads leading to it, especially at night.

my stay was enhanced by the warm atmosphere in the restaurant and the cozy setup of my room, making it a delightful retreat after exploring the rich history of the nearby Usk Castle and the stunning landscapes of Wentwood less than 3 km away, perfect for a weekend stroll. as a solo traveler, I appreciated the well-appointed amenities that catered to my needs, but the plumbing in the bathroom could be improved for a better experience.

Couples looking for relaxation and a touch of class

It was a bit pricey but still reasonable for what we received.

the hotel was really nice, n we had this comfy king room with a balcony overlooking the river. brekkie was decent enough to start ur day but nothin fancy. the evening meals tho were just amazin, every bite was on point! n the staff were super friendly, which made it even better.
only thing i gotta complain about is the breakfast bein kinda plain and the service charge was mandatory which sucked. also the decor could use a lil update.

The Dashing Dace room offered a beautiful decor, ensuring a comfortable stay with a lovely view of the countryside. Impressive was the homemade continental breakfast selection, featuring a range of pastries and fresh juices. dining disappointed, as the menu lacked inspired choices and depth of flavor, leaving the experience feeling average rather than special. The absence of small luxury details in the room tarnished the overall enjoyment, notably missing were touches that had elevated previous visits.
